For some as-yet-unknown reason, we have been able to surf the internet at a snail's pace. A breathtaking speed not seen since the early 90's. As a result, pictures have not been viewable, much less uploadable on the Latimer computers lately.
But here we are again, with much to see and read. We've been out and about with "the children": wakeboarding, riding ferries, puppy classes, walking, meeting new people, and discovering new ways that Indy can annoy the humans that live here.
Our first excursion was a trip to south Langley for Amber's birthday party. We visited a few local wineries and had a picnic at their place. Food was good, drinks were tasty, and the company was great.

July 8, 2006: Indy
Since then, it's been weekend after weekend of short trips to Gibsons in order to visit with the Stuart clan and to get a bit of wakeboarding in here and there. Our first boating excursion of '06 was with Chris, Carolyn, and Evan. It was late Saturday start because we couldn't seem to find the right equipment and we had a bit of a battery/starting problem with the boat. But thanks to Chris' quick thinking and work to pull his car battery out and jump start the boat, we were finally on our way.

July 15, 2006: Chris' first go.

July 15, 2006: I don't think the board is supposed to be pointing in that direction.

July 15, 2006: As soon as Indy was in the water, she'd motor for shore. Grabbing her was the only way we could get her back in the boat.

July 15, 2006: Carolyn's turn.

July 15, 2006: All done!
The next day, just Kristina, Don, and I went. It was a yet another gorgeous day that gave Don his first dip of the season.

July 16, 2006: So casual. Notice how she even takes the opportunity refit her suit.

July 16, 2006: No boarding for Don. He's a classic old-school skier.

July 16, 2006: Some spectacular wake from other boats.

July 16, 2006: It doesn't get much better than this.
And just this past weekend, Jeremy (who's just in town this week) and PJ came out on Sunday to partake in some water activities. Jeremy was an all-star, pulling out a few 180° jumps as well as a previously-unseen, ropeless 360°.

July 23, 2006: Jeremy tests the water.

July 23, 2006: Believe it or not, Jer actually pulled himself out of this jam. One-handed no less.

July 23, 2006: Nice height.

July 23, 2006: PJ muscles his way up.

July 23, 2006: PJ's more a skier than a boarder.

July 23, 2006: Now he's got it.

July 23, 2006: My turn.

July 23, 2006: I love jumping.
So that's been it -- more or less -- for the last few weeks. Stay in touch and we'll have as many new pics and updates as possible. See you soon.
